Bye Bye Biola

May 29, 2010
This past weekend my family went down to LA to watch my sister graduate from Biola. In order to avoid the Memorial Day traffic, Kev and I left early Saturday morning and met my family at the graduation.

My sister's boyfriend was nice enough to get there, I am guessing, 4 hours before the graduation to save us seats in the shade. This was wonderful since it was supposed to be like 84! The graduation had a few high points, yelling April's name as she walked across the stage was my personal fav. She rocked it! She did not fall or anything. The guest speaker was Joni Eareckson Tada. A diving accident left her a quadriplegic when she was 17. She was awesome! She talked about serving and when you serve doing it with joy, as well as a loving and open heart towards God and those you are serving. That God is calling you in a direction for a reason. Perfect for not only the graduates but the audience as well. I really enjoyed it. So here are a couple of pictures from that day.

On the way home, Adam, Alyssa, Kevin and I stopped by Tito's. Now if you are reading this you most likely are aware of my Dad's obsession/infatuation for Tito's that he just so happened to pass on to his chidren. I love Tito's so much that I honestly wanted these tacos at my wedding. The drive from our house is about an hour and 30 minutes without traffic and I would happily drive there just for dinner (and have, a couple times). The salsa is the best I have ever had, the taco meat is unbeatable and the rootbeer is unforgettable. This the perfect meal and brings a smile to my face everytime. If you ever want to go, please let me know, I will be happy to drive.

  1. Such a fun weekend. April- best college graduation I have ever been to... mostly because YOU were being celebrated and well, I love you. And Amber... the sleepover was unforgettable. Delightfully hilarious. See you in a month! Poppy will be kickboxing by the time we see that sweet ladyboy next!
