One evening last night we were able to go play in the warm weather. Mick loves soccer and so we tried to do a couple of drills.

May and April
Here are a few pictures for anyone who still follows me. I apologize for my lack on photos. Life is crazy with a toddler and one on the way. These pictures are from April and May, not in that order. I feel bad even putting up these pictures because he seems so much bigger now than when I took these. I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer.
Training him early to help mama with the baby.
I am pretty sure he started walking 2 days before this. Hunting for Easter eggs. I told you these were old.

Roger
Thats right, we finally named our little girl!
Just kidding. Her name is not Roger, although if you read on you will find out why Mick might call her that.
So this all started when Mick and I were going through his Sesame Street book, looking at all the characters. Even though I do have a child, it had been a long time since I had seen the show. Remembering all the characters names is a little tricky. I watched enough as a kid myself to remember Elmo, Big Bird, Bert, Ernie and Grover. Of course, my curious little man pointed to the big, orange creature and looked at me for the name. I had no idea, so I made it up. I named him Roger. Not thinking this would become a problem we continued to call him Roger through the rest of the book. I told Kevin about it when he got home and using his brilliance, he used the world wide web to look up the actual name. Its Telly. So the next time we read the story, I try to transition Roger into Telly. But Mick just wont let his mommys mistake slide. No, Roger is still his name, and this happened months ago. Not only that but every once in awhile we will be reading a story and come across a character he is not familiar with and he will call it Roger. Roger lives on.
Moral of the story, never make things up to your kids.

Remember Us? March Edition
I am so sorry. I have no reason why I have been so absent.
I figure I need to get back into this baby step style......so here are some pictures from March. Mick is 18 months here and I am 17 weeks pregnant! We all have grown a lot bigger since these were taken, except Kev, but I wanted you to see the progression instead of jumping right into May. So please forgive me. I will try to get more pictures up for all to see.

Lesson Learned
Swim diapers are not actual diapers.
After taking Mick to the beach, where he did not get in the water. I left his swim diaper on while we went to lunch with some friends. I did find it odd that my shirt and shorts that he sat on were soaked, and not with salt water.

Goodnight My Love
This post is more for me than anything else. I just wanted to write a few thoughts down so I did not forget them. Mick has been so sweet when we put him in his crib to sleep for the night. We say prayers as a family, while this is happening he for some reason pinches both of our noses, and tried to tickle Kevin. He gets so excited when we hand him his monkey blanket, he then wraps it under his chin. We then put his blanket over him, kiss him goodnight and turn off the light. As we are walking out and he hears I love you, he blows us a kiss. This is new, when he hears I love you, he blows kisses, yes please! Then he tells us "bye", waves and we leave. Oh I love him.

"You Are Tall"
As obvious as my height is, I actually have people tell me a lot that I am tall. I have been getting it my whole life. So many memories to pick from, being told I had to think about quitting gymnastics because I was getting too tall, to my brother asking me how the air was up there and seeing a certain family member literally on the floor laughing, to me constantly being asked to get things off the top shelf at grocery stores by complete strangers. Yeah I am your regular Big Friendly Giant. By the work of the Lord only have I been able to finally be comfortable with my height.
I am not writing this post because I just discovered that I am tall, I write this because I was reminded of a story last night while looking at an extremely tall girl.
A couple of years ago I was in the grocery store by myself, looking at whatever it was, lets say bread. Another couple was in the aisle with me but further away. Still trying to figure out what bread I wanted I began to feel a presence behind me. I look over my sholder and the man of the couple was LITERALLY going back to back with me. What the heck? I obviously turned around fast causing the man to get a mouth full of my hair and starred at him with a concerned look, for him, on my face. The girlfriend then goes on to explain how he was quietly trying to back up to me to see if he was taller than me. I mean come on!
However, I was reminded of this story because last night at In N Out, I was that guy. A super tall girl walks in and here I go, the long way around the restaurant to get the ketchup we did not need. Walking by the girl twice so that Kevin, who was the look out man, could see who was taller. Unable to make a decision, I just happen to need to refill my drink when she was refilling hers. Noticing that her knees were at my hips I declared her the winner.
That night changed me my friends. From then on I decided that all tall girls are in a club and because we know what each other goes through in life we should be able to talk about our height freely with strangers, ask all the normal questions...
"Did you play basketball?"
"I bet your parents are tall"
"How tall ARE you?"
Without feeling guilty or annoying.
So to all the tall girls out there, go get 'em!

Confession
Hi, remember me? I am so sorry for the lack of posting. I dont really have an excuse, some of it is because we have just been really busy and the other part, I just dont know.Because of my absense I decided to reward you with a confession...Some of you are probably pretty nervous right now trying to figure out what it is. So with out futher a do......
I get in Micks crib with him in the morning. There I said it. Yeah, thats right, I get IN the crib. And I am not afraid to admit it. Kevin came back from working out one morning and stumbled upon this. Mick is not really into snuggling and this is the only place he will just hang out with me. So I did what I had to. I love it, he loves it, the question is, how long will this last. FOREVER! Yeay!

Family Hike
We love to hike but have found it hard to do since Mick was born. But thanks to Jen, we were able to use this backpack for him. We were not sure how either Kev or Mick would do with it so we set out for a shorter hike to test it out. No need to be at the top of a 45 minute mountain and realize it was not a good idea.
